This is
a hickory floor with oak trim. Notice both the variations in the wood's
grain and its finish.This particular floor was installed, sanded,
and then finished. The finishing process takes about three to four days from start to finish. The floor cannot be walked on for 24 full hours after a finish oil-based coat has been applied. We prefer oil bases to water bases based on their durability. Most floors need a coat of sand sealer, which helps the floor to take the finish more easily, and two or more coats of polyurethane. |
